Wife has a 40D, and me a 30D. I was thinking of trying to trade my 30D in on a SX40HS. You know, something lighter with a little more zoom, I've got a stabilized Tamron 18-270 on my 30D. Well, I've decided my 30D has about bottomed out in value, and it's worth more to me than I could get for it. So, I think I will just happily continue to use the 30D. It really is a good old camera.

same here.. i thought about selling it.. but it's not worth that much anymore. so might as well keep rocking it whenever. now i usually just use it to shoot food photos. :)

since i got the 5D2, i noticed that i don't have to edit that much or boost the saturation, contrast, sharpness, etc like what i had to do in the 30D. but there's something about my 30D that I just can't seem to part from...

Broke it out for my son to use to shoot some LAX. Still works like a charm.

You did a terrific job of masking the fence on the last shot.

I only looked for it as I'm familiar with the scene.

John.

I didnt mask it, its just mostly hidden behind the long grass by the low viewpoint and what it visible blends in with the bright sky behind

A poor choice of words on my part.
By mask I meant it was hidden, not photoshop masking.

John.

I took a few shots in the winter, but the fence really did spoil the image
