Thanks!

Someone had spilled a bag of gummie bears, so I waited around for one of the ubiquitous pigeons to come take a bite or three.

I don't think I'm so dedicated to waste food just for a picture like this. :)

I thought you were probably in burst mode. I use that mostly, and spot metering and focus also for similar reasons (although from your earlier post, you know your exposures so well you aren't relying on the metering so much). From what I read, a lot of BIF shooters use spot or single point and get good results. I guess there is some similarity to shooting moving targets on stage to BIF's.

yeah I've used spot metering before in concert but to tell you the truth I've never really tested it side by side with evaluated I probally should set some specifics aside and see what it does, but yeah I do use spot metering when I remember to select it before the show haha. and yeah truth be told on everything else you said.
Cheers Steve

Captain Steve, All are great shots but man I can't help but keep going back to look at number 2.

CSHORT, I really like weathered texture shots and I like both of them. While I agree with the previous feedback for more depth of field... personally, liking the weathered look, I would have gotten closer on number 1 and gone the other way depth of field. The reason is the texture seems to stand out if the surroundings are out of focus. I probably would have gotten closer, if possible, on number 2 and full depth of field.

It just goes to show we all have different perspectives. Shoot how you like to see the shots and have fun. If you are having fun it seems to show in your work.

Just my 2 cents.
