Why not search for yourself,a quick Google search finds a few and with shipping I guess they come up to around $100.00.
There are a few on Ebay for under $75.00 some with free shipping and I find them on Craigs List with some frequency for $50.00.
They are there for the hunting and every one of them is better than the nicest cheesy case pointed to here.
Its not that I am just saying this either,I have tried them and they are terrible.

Yea $100 shipped is easy. Ebay and CL for that cheap is most likely used. You made it sound like well under $100 new and that I was about to be ALL over! I guess a used Pelican case isnt so bad seeing as how they are built extremely tough, but all the used ones I have ever seen were REALLY beat up. Plus then Id have to deal with CL folk, which can be an odd experience to say the least. Ill give it a shot though.

Sorry my original point was that they are a far stretch from the $200.00 the O.P. claimed they are.

I buy and sell on CL every day and have rarely had a incident of any kind but almost everyone I know is convinced I am taking my life in my hands by dealing there?

I have found countless Pelican,SKB and Hardigg cases for cheap there and I just wouldn't buy one if I didn't like it.Most of the ones I find though are new or almost new too.

I may have a case problem but I have no plans to stop!
But I try to buy quality not quantity.

Ah, I see. And oh yes, I totally agree! I already have three Pelican cases and will def be adding more in the future! Basically if its expensive, it gets a pelican case!

Pelican & Harbor Freight in the same sentence

I can tell just by the picture on HF site, these are not anything close to being a Pelican. I don't see the point in going cheap with a case that is housing 2 to what, 8, 10 grand worth of gear

It doest make any sense to pack a $2.000 or 3K in this unreliable cases, you get what you paid. 15% of your equipment invested in a long lasting probed case is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, I use this cases to carry my RC Helicopter tools.

Regards.

gustavo, this will be used to keep my 30D in and will only be stored at home. so it's better than buying a new bag to keep the 30D in. :)

Pelican cases are also dust proof, which I am sure every photographer would like when storing their gear

You can also often find SKB cases for less than Pelican and at this size range they are almost as tough as a Pelican and lighter too.

Once you get into the 1600 sized SKB's the construction is clearly not as robust as a Pelican but still much closer to a Pelican in quality than to anything else.

Also the Hardigg Storm cases are goo enough that Pelican bought Hardigg.
