Yes well I know that I'd love the Subbie in the snow that's for sure. But I also really liked drivin that small Golf city around, the GTI can only be better.

Space wise, the Sub would give me more place to put in my gear and bring models to shoot. But a GTI is still not bad and looks even more fun to drive. Plus it has a sunroof. :p

I hate decisions.

BTW Andrew, I was expecting a cool and dangerous drifting video. I'm still hungry as it is right now

Except that they depreciate like sinking rocks and arent even made in the USA any more..

Eh...I don't care where something's made, as long as it suits my purposes. I've had two Chevy trucks go over 250,000 miles without major repair. One of them hit 350,000.

I also bought a 2001 Silverado 5 or 6 years ago and sold it 6 months ago for every dime of what I paid for it after driving it 50k miles.

They've been great for me, so I'll keep buying them. :D

Play cars though...Different matter entirely. I'll buy whatever either a) looks good or b) is stupid fast. Usually can't afford to have both in one car

Welcome to Club 60D !

I have not bothered with a screen protector for the 60D. My screen Off 80% of the time, and also facing "inwards" 80% of the time - so that is enough protection for me.
I will view a photo if I needed critical focus or something but I have turned the screen off to conserve battery power and really - the top LCD panel tells me what I need to know.

just something for you to consider...
again - Congrats on the 60D and Welcome

I just sold my T3i body, and have a 60D on the way! I am excited for the new body...!

Any suggestions for a screen protector? I had a GGS glass screen protector for the T3i, but after putting it on I couldn't "close" the swivel screen properly because the glass was too thick. I'm thinking of just getting this one from Amazon (external link).

I also have VW Rabbit 2.5. you're right they're really fun to drive. zoom zoom... you can go 90 so fast without even knowing.... when you shift to S mode, it feels like you have a turbo.

GTI over the non turbo Subaru any day of the week. Way more fun to drive and just a better all around car stock vs stock for a non car enthusiest. But now if you said WRX vs GTI and you planned on actually building to my standards... then no contest, WRX...

Oops, I guess I missed that it wasn't a WRX. Non-turbo stock Impreza = boring. :) Either car could be fun to drive as long as you go with at least WRX or Gti, the lower models are a bit sluggish and if I'm not mistaken they don't have the fun handling goodies either. I know my RX-8 is no drag racer, but it's one of the most fun cars to drive for the money and it's quick enough for me. :)

Sorry for off-topic..... back to 60D talk.... I need to get my rig out and try it soon!

Btw, if you prefer the VW, try to find a good deal on a R32... best of both worlds, fast and fun and holds value pretty good.

+1, never been a compact, hatchback kinda guy, but that is a car I've had my eye on for a while. Hard to come by a good used one in Pittsburgh.

Well then, let's expand upon it. You have three choices:

A - Fast

B - Cheap

C - Safe

You can only choose two.
