I am not trying to pick on you at all, and I really appreciate that you took the criticism in good faith as they were intended to be. But it is one of my pet peeves when people post images SOOC. Why would you not run it through a small round of pp before showing it to anyone?

I want to try to become better at getting my images right in camera without having to do alot of pp so I figured if I got critiqued on my images SOOC that would be the right way to go about it. I kinda see your point though.

my humble addition would be that when i shoot portraits i do everything i can to make sure that the subject's head is not "touching" the sky. unless you have a VERY dark sky. that's my 2 cents and obviously there is an exception to every rule.

good luck!
