Mine showed up today along with my extra battery and pearstone dual charger. Got both batteries charged and heading home in about 30 minutes, can't wait to play with this thing :-)

Pre ordered on Crutchfield. Now I wait...

I ordered from Best Buy this morning; should have it by Friday. I believe Best Buy is still showing the 5d3 in stock if you're interested.

I am taking tomorrow and Thursday off to do some testing/shooting.:D

just a few of my thoughts...

I've received mine from Adorama today. I ordered on 3/9/12, but was on the first shipment. I chose the free shipping. :-) UPS guy handed it to me @ 1:30P today. Opened it up and applied a plastic screen protector on the LCD and the top LCD. Cut to fit. Took a shot with the cap on at ISO 6400 to check for dead pixel. None. Then installed the 5D2 battery that's fully charged and played with it, while the 5D3's battery charges.

I tell you guys. I'm in love with this camera. The shutter is so quick. It feels so light (Figuratively speaking)(quick). I mean, there is no lag. There is no cluck clonk like my 5D2. And the silent shutter is just too cool. Maybe I haven't heard a silent one before, but I do like it. It's so sharp. I was chasing my girl around making her run and I couldn't be more happier. So glad I got rid of my 5D2. I was in denial with the 5D2.

Focus is spot on with my 70-200L IS II USM. Even the nifty fifty is good. At the moment, I'm searching everywhere for my memory card reader. I just don't know where I put it. I hope you guys get yours soon.

Sorry for the long post, just so excited and love this camera. The $3,500 is worth it. IMO. I still have a big smile on my face... :-) :-)

The link below is what I used. I love these protector. Must be cut to fit though. I've been using these for years on everything. Order the whole 12 pack and it'll last you for everything.

Cut rectangle to fit. Trim the corners a little, I mean very little to make it look rounded. Doesn't have to be round. Just do a diagonal cut to match lcd. Peel back off. Apply to area and lightly rub it on. Don't force bubbles out. They will disappear later by themselves and it'll look like it's no there. It's also smooth like the glass screen too. :D

just out of curiosity, when you did the shot with the cap on the body at iso 6400, how long did you set the shutter for?
