I don't think the AF in the 7D is any faster, that mostly depends on the lens. All you really get is the adaptive AF that can find your subject and track it through the frame as it moves...it can also lock on to the wrong thing at times. You just need a 1D X...

Cameras: 7D2, S100
Lenses: 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM, 18-135 STM, 24-70 f/4L IS USM, 50 f/1.4 USM,70-300L IS USM
Other Stuff: 430 EX II, Luma Labs Loop 3, CamRanger

Almost all of my action oriented shots are taken with L glass. So the lens' ability to focus quickly and accurately is definitely there. Add in that I have had plenty of experience and I do pretty well. There's just some times where the closing speed is just too great to get a nice shot with what I'm using.

I'm not trying to come up with excuses to justify a 7D. I'm simply trying to get people on here to see my situation. I'm definitely all ears for input.

I respect that. As of me, I like helping other people out and I don't mind telling how I PP a certain picture. But some are keeping it secret and that's fine also.

i enjoy seeing photoshop techniques - the one thing i cant quite get is the faded look/vintage look that everyone has

i play around with the curves layer but i dont get the same pop as some of the photos here D=

im a cook and i'd have to agree - needs more color and better arrangement

but hey when im at home i don't plate my food fine dining style like i do at work - i just slop it on - it's all the same in my belly anyways

the question is - did you suck all the goodness from those shrimp heads?!

yup no fine dining in the house. yup it lacks an ingredient to make it colorful but what the heck, it was just for our dinner.

yes i suck all the goodies in the head including the cholesterol. :)

Alright seriously brothers i need your help. I know most of you have your own break in photography and I know it's gonna be a nerve breaking at first.

I'm going to have a photoshoot on some bodybuilders with some females(as spices) this coming monday. My first break ever. What I have are the lenses I have in my sig, 2 umbrellas with the 430EX II,yongnou 560, yongnou transceivers and a reflector/diffuser.

Location: Industrial(asphault factory).
Time: 10am to 2pm.

Any advice please. What in my line of lens is the best for the shoot? What preparation must I do? What should be my attitude?

your thoughts please.
