Wedding with 70-200mm

Just want to say thanks to everyone shared and advised me from this thread. I used my 7-20 more these days and I love the results. It's getting lighter and lighter as I have it by my side more often nowadays .
Can't wait to be able to pick up the mk2 version.

Once I got the MarkII version I used it more and more. My 135L went for 6 months with no use so I finally sold it here on POTN. The 70-200 IS2 was just as clear as the 135L and, with the high ISO performance from the 5D2, that extra stop of light (from the 135L) wasn't as critical to me as being able to go to 200mm if I needed to, or to back off all the way to 70mm. The 70-200mm is my 'must have' lens for the ceremony and the reception ...and don't those make up the majority of the day?

I replaced it with 85 1.2 and 135 2. It was too heavy for me as I shoot with two bodies. Now I roll with two 5D II and 35 1.4 and one 85 or 135.

I use mine any time i am outside; also ceremony obviously. i use it in large rooms at receptions and during some formal dances if the room is large enough. i keep it in rotation all day.

I use it for the ceremony in big churches only. I prefer 135 2 or 85 1.2 and use more legs to zoom in.

I'd find a 135mm prime far too limiting.
