Available Canon 5d Mark III BODY only?

Is there a reputable online store where the Canon 5D Mark III Body is available?
Most stores sell it with the 24-105mm lens. I already have it so I won't need it. I just need the body.
I know it is available at Best Buy but I just don't want to pay $250 for state sales taxes...

Not really, you don't escape your obligation. Ever heard of use tax?

Sorry about that. I thought it was the III. I know they had them for pre-order only in almost every other place, even B&H. Most people who got them early got on the waiting list early on.

I just picked mine up yesterday but had a real hard time finding a body only. Try bergen county camera in NJ they might have more and they are authorized dealer.

Hope you get it. Sounds like a scam to me? Who would sell a brand new camera for a lot less the the MSRP?

i thought so at first too. according to the seller, he bought it from an amazon dealer and was too much camera for him. tried to return it, but was given a hard time. its not exactly "new" because he took about 300 shots with it but guaranteed me it was pretty much flawless.

we spoke on the phone several times and i was given a UPS tracking # within the hour. i called UPS to verify it and there definitely is a package coming to my address.

checked his feedback, and he has sold many lenses/bodies, iPads, point n shoots, etc... so it seems pretty legit to me.

however, it was purchased with my amex, so i should be covered if anything fishy comes about.

You can always just buy the kit and sale the 24-105mm easy and maybe make a hundred or two!

I got a great deal on my 5D Mark II at Best Price Electronics in the US but now it appears it's out of business. Oh well.

Why is it that when Apple announces a new iphone or ipad they have millions ready to ship on the exact day they say it will be released and Canon and Nikon cant make enough bodies to save their lives and only God knows what day they will actually be available. Screw you Canon and Nikon for screwing us around with release dates and limited quantities. You suck.
