Excellent Nick great ISO performance, hey if you used a 5D II which you probably have do you see a stop improvement with the 5D III in RAW?

I just experimented with the case numbers and AF points shooting in Tv. I know this image isn't an action shot but plan to post some more.

I applied one in LR4 just to bring the sky back a bit as it was mid day and a little flat.

We aren't supposed to talk about the 5D2 in here (:)) but I've always maintained that the 5D3 has about 1/2 stop improvement.

Great Pics Nick! Thanks for the wedding pics. What lens(es) were you using for those shots? I love that the detail is all still there even at the high ISO. Also, thanks for confirming the 1/2 stop difference between the iii and ii. I wasn't seeing much more than that and thought something might have been wrong based on all the people seeing 2 stop differences.

The 2 stop difference seems to be from JPEG output. I have to test out the in-camera NR to see how it does. I mean, it does as good a job as my NR workflow, I might reconsider.

I think most of the shots I posted was with the 70-200 f2.8 IS MKII.

Thanks, I've got that one and will be using it next Saturday paired with the iii. Nice to see how much detail it pulls off at those ISO's. Love your work.

Thanks!

It was kind of awkward using the 5D3 with the 5D2 because of the difference in controls, especially the zooming. Man, I was fumbling around with that one.

Because of the awesome AF system on the 5D3, I tried to use the 5D3 as much as possible. (Oh, and of course so that I can get you guys some photos from the 5D3 too! ;))

I really need to get another one, not so much because I don't like the 5D2 anymore, but just to avoid the confusion. I like shooting 2 of the same cameras.

That's funny you say that, and thanks for the heads up. I was going to be shooting with both too, but I can now see how that might get a little confusing. Was thinking of just throwing a wide prime on the ii and using the iii for everything else.
