I pulled your image into ACR and it is about 1stop over exposed. the histogram is shifted way to the right. I wold adjust exposure around .75-1 of a stop and it will be perfect.


7D / 70-200 F4L IS / 400 5.6L / 50mm 1.8 / 18-55 Kit / CS5 plus other software.

The histogram is giving a reading of the overall image, which is made up of mostly the light coloured BG, if you select the bird, it's a different story :)

Very pretty Greenfinch Joe, with such a lovely, almost gradient background too.
I'm not sure if it's the perspective playing tricks w/my eyes, but that beak looks too big to be on that bird.

Great capture Joe.

You are very lucky, only seen one breifly since these went into decline in the UK, hopeful the species is getting some resistance to the virial infection that was decimating them.
