I bought the 5D mark II last week. I was very impressed with the camera however I knew that shooting with the nifty fifty was not reaching the full capacity of the camera. I had passed up the 5D mark III so that I could pair some nice glass with the mark II. So I bought the 35L and absolutely love it. I recommend it to anyone. Weather has been far from optimal today, but I was able to sneak outside for a couple minutes. I can't wait to really get out and test this lens.

I really like that shot you took!

Simple, when viewing the image in flickr, there is a share button just above the picture. Click it then look for the tab thing that says HTML/BBCode then choose the size you want then copy and past it into reply box here and it will be embedded.

@NeverFollow, very nice!

I got this lens about a year and a half ago and it has become one of my favorites along with the 135L.

I got all my gear this week, haven't been able to fully use it as the weather has been drab. Hopefully the weather clears up so i can finally put it through it's paces.

It's nice that you have a lot in the background, nice bokeh, colours, contrast,... the last L I would ever sell.
Ideal for a person with the connection to his environment in the background, not too narrow, not too wide and not much distortion.
I once did a modelshoot with 35L + 85L and almost used the 35L exclusively, later on I had to make some crops and great IQ also.

Sony A7 III | Metabones V | Canon 16-35 F4 L | 70-200 2.8L II
Sigma 50 1.4 Art | Sigma 85 1.4 Art

Lighting : Godox AD600B TTL + Godox V860II-S + X1T-S
Modifiers: 60cm Collapsible Silver Beautydish + grid | Godox 120cm Octagon softbox + grid + Speedlite Flash bender
Tripod: Vanguard Alta 253CT carbon

This is exactly why I bought this lens, I feel its very important that the environment have a larger influence in a portrait than it just being a background. It takes a little more work to make an environmental portrait a success but when you do its very satisfying.

Nice. It's one of the lenses I'm looking to purchase soon, along with the 135L. :D

I love both. So much that I'm contemplating on selling my 100L macro, which I used to swear by, but hardly find myself using anymore :)

It's gonna happen, I just kept reading rumors about a 35L II so I've been holding off. Of course the way Canon is pricing new lenses it would probably cost $3k...
