Military Aviation Museum

Went down to the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach yesterday. This is probably one of the coolest collections I've seen. One, because its all WWI and WWII aircraft and two because they all are airworthy and they do fly them a lot.

If anyone is in the area and hasn't been here I would suggest going and at the end of next month they are having a big air show and bringing all the planes out to fly.

There is actually 4 hangars there. The main building has two hangers one with Navy planes and one with Army planes, They have a separate hangar for WWI era planes and a 4th hangar where they do all the restoration and maintenance.

Out back of the main building is a grass runway where they takeoff and land.

From what the guy was telling me they are planning to have several more large hangars built in the next two to three years and they are going to house close to 100 operational planes.

They are having a big air show May 19-20th so that might be connected. Im not really sure
