Where it all began for the muscle car and a pretty rare beast, especially here in Australia. Only 2 registered in the country, and this one is immaculate. It won best car at the 2011 Pontiac Nationals.

Tri-power induction is sexy as!

Nice car & nice photos. Not sure that I'd have painted the steering column that colour though.

Love it. And great shots as well.

Dad has what was the pre-cursor to the GTO , a 61 Bonneville with a 389 ( 425 A Code ) , 3 deuces , 4 speed and wide-trac. 98% original and still under 50K miles , and he was actually the one who drove it off the hauler.

Just love the old Pontiacs.

NICE Goat! When they came out, the dealers didn't know what GTO stood for.

I use to cruise in a blue one when I was a kid. Nice ride you got there. Brings back memories.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Just to be clear, I dont own this, just shot it for a magazine over here called Queensland Street Car Magazine.

Beautiful car and the owner is just one of the nicest blokes I've ever met and an absolute Pontiac NUT!

As mentioned, at last years Pontiac Nationals, which is the premier gathering of Pontiacs in Australia, this car took out a heap of trophies, including Car of Show - the #1 award. He also has a 389 powered '64 Bonnevlle which won Best Full Sized Pontiac at the same Nationals and his wife drives a beautiful '85 Trans Am!
