Would you please STOP convincing me to spend next years tax refund NOW and get the 5D3 and put it on the plastic?

Except for the lack of a swivel screen, everything I've read/seen/heard about the 5D3 makes my 5 month old 60D seem like a toy! I was a very satisfied 60D customer until seeing all the rave reviews of the 5D3! Last May or so, I bought a used 30D and when I went to the 60D and some L glass, I was blown away. Sounds to me like the 5D3 will blow me away even more big time!

Oh NOOOOOOOooooooooo.........

Tell me about it. I'm very satisfied with my 5D II, but I tried the mark iii in store and it feels so much better.. -.-;

Oh hey neighbor, I'm from Westfield MA ;)
I'd say get a 5DII for now. I have a 60D and switched to FF in October (I actually hve two 5DII's now) and let me tell you something, 60D and FF is night and day difference. And 5DIII? Don't even compare your 60D to 5DIII :D

I have 60D, 5DII's and 5DIII's... massive difference in all of them. Depends what you are shooting though and in what manner. The AF on the 5DIII is awesome as is things like ISO 3200 of the 5DIII looking like ISO 400 of the 5DII. Shot my first wedding with them last week and nailed shots that my 5DII's just couldn't take.

In used to shoot 3x 5DII's but have now switched to 2x 5DIII's and a 60D

For me at least the upgrade was well worth it and now I've done it I don't regret it. It may sound extreme but I'd be gutted if I had to go back to my 5DII setup now.

dont't think of it as a $3500 5D2 with AF, think of it as a half priced 1Dx with more MP but less FPS in a smaller package (something I consider a good thing). ;) Stings a lot less that way.

I agree with this completely. People who have not purchased the camera may not realize all of the changes made to the camera and how they work so well. Once I tried one at Unique Photo, I sold my 5DII that night and got lucky purchasing the 5DII the very next day.
I was out with it today, and I love the difference in the feel of the camera. Like I said, there is more to it than meets the eye.

I will admit to one thing though...it is a lot of $$$, I surprised myself with such a quick decision to purchase it.

Screw it..cancelled my order. I really can't justify the price for the small upgrade.

I was going to sell my 5D2 along with 85L II to fund for a new 5D3, I closed my eyes and imagined me holding the 5D3, few seconds later I snapped right back into reality and glad I did not make such a foolish move. I'll keep shooting with the 5D2 and wait for the 5D3 price to come down, or skip right to the 5D4 instead. :D :D :D

The focus is a major upgrade.

This camera should have been called a 7Dx. But 7d is not full frame. What is left on it that is a 5d II?

If you don't want to be impressed, then do not watch this entire video on the mark III.

i loved my two 5Dii's too. Intended to sell one and upgrade one to the iii, but ended up selling both just barely made enough to buy one mark iii.
Maybe i will miss my 2 mark ii's less, when i can afford another mark iii.
All i can say to myself is: That is life and you have got to pay to play... ;D

You really can get away with one body? You're saying I won't miss two 5DII's once I get a 5DIII?

You WILL miss your two 5D2's, until you get two 2d3's.
It is a little hard for me, just to have one body right now, but i can survive until getting enough money to buy 1 more camera.
