yeah, I think it was +1 for exposure then some hefty shadows and blacks in the positive range... I actually bracketed that composition, trying to get one with the moon not blown out, but I got lazy and that was the darkest frame. When I started processing I just wanted to see what I could do with the dark version before I played with the properly exposed version, but I guess I didn't need it. Not sure how well the noise would hide in a print though, 1000px hides a lot of sins.

Amazing..The MkII is unforgiving with such variation..And I'm sure the print will be just fine..

No, we call it a Spanish Mackeral, in the US I think it's called a King, or King Mackeral.

Well, it's been three weeks I finally got to play with my 5D Mark III. I wasn't impressed with the things I was shooting, but damn, this camera feels great in the hands, very responsive, and this is my first full frame camera coming from a 7D. I used a 135mm f/2L lens and 24-105mm f/4L. I've a mini photoshoot tomorrow and of course I'll be posting that one also. No editting what-so-ever, tired and need to head out.

Also, I'm no pro I just love capturing emotions. Thanks!
Misfocus :( breakfast for the champs.

I did a write up on my forum here: http://newschoolofphotography.com …scape-pp-walkthrough.html (external link)

I have changed from LR3 to LR4 since then though which HAS effected my processing. Not the results, but just what it takes to get there. I'm just using different numbers in different boxes because of the new engine more than anything else.

Thank you!!

I have had my 5D3 for a week and really enjoying it. I also purchased the 600 EX-RT Speedlite and looked forward to wireless shooting. I have reaf the flash sections of both the camera and Speedlite manuals. However, I can't get the wireless function to work, either optically or with radio transmission. With some luck, I finally got the link light to illuminate on the flash but no remote/wireless flash. I'm sure I am misreading something. If anyone has a link or otherwise clearly posted instructions on how to get the wireless link to work, please share. Thank you in advance.
