A few friends and I hiked to the Boston Mine a couple weeks ago. The main remaining ruin is the base of a tram which was used to ferry things up and down the side of the mountain. This is the bottom tram, I understand the one on the top is in better condition. Maybe this summer.....

City Methodist Church
Gary, Indiana

I visited this place alone last week on Thursday. Never been so on edge in my entire life. Being such a bad area, I scoped the place out for like 30 minutes, watched 3 crackheads walk right past the front door of the church, and then decided to risk going in there. The crackheads were like zombies walking down the street, it was saddening to see and if your thinking about visiting this place, I will advise that its definitely not the type of neighborhood I would suggest going into alone. After heading in there, I only stayed in for about 10 minutes. I was on edge the whole time and the ****ing pigeons didnt make it any better. Anyways, when I returned to my jeep, my alarm had been set off. Luckily I have a locomotive horn hooked up to my alarm system, or Im sure my rig would be gone!!! Im honestly surprised I didnt hear it from inside the church, but I was in the zone watching my back. Anyways, heres a couple shots from my trip. Hope you enjoy!!

Beautiful work. I have been tempted to head down there to Gary. May need to rethink my plan, because I have a tendency to jump in the car with no planning and no one with me.

Great shots! Thanks for taking the risk. I'd advise against that next time. I've been to Gary, Indiana and it is a rough city.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

you should try going into the basement in that place alone! I don't mind being above ground there by myself but in the pitch black of the basement I couldn't stay too long!

I shot this abandoned house at midnight about a month ago; On a recent photo trek I did, I decided to go back and shoot it during the day.

Your definitely not kidding. The thing is, I want to go back, there are a ton of abandoned buildings there that I would like to photograph. Next trip though will be with a few people though, so Im not alone!!
