Matboard mounting

I want to enter some photos in our state fair and the photos must be mounted onto 16x20 matboard. What is the best way to do this?

Thank you but what they require is the photo to be glued to a matboard. You can then glue a piece of cut matting over it to help make it look better but that is an option. There is no real frame. It goes on the wall for display just on the matboard. This is a state fair and over 500 photos is hung for display and all must be on a matboard 16x20. I did not explain that well in my opening thread. Years ago I heard of a process called "cold mounting". Is this still the best way to go? Is there some process I can do myself?

Dry mount the photo to the matboard. Any framing place can do it for you (Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc...) Or, you can buy your own dry mount press and do it yourself. A Seal Commercial 210M unit is one of the better ones.

You can also use a 3M spray adhesive to mount your photo. That's easier than dry mounting if you don't have the stuff to do it yourself. Or just have a local framing place dry mount it.

I use the spray adhesive, much simpler than dry mounting, especially if you dont have the gear.

I do all my mounting with it. No mess and toxic vapors that the spay adhesives give you.
