Am I the only one that uses Picasa vs Flickr?

I find picasa so easy to use, and upload and manage albums. But, it seems everyone uses Flickr? What am I missing? Maybe because I shoot jpeg, and other shoot raw .....

I've never used Picasa, but there are a lot of people that prefer it over Flickr. If it works for you, stick with it.

I think you should start shooting in raw though. It will give you much more control over post processing.

I guess it depends on how you are using it. I shoot raw and process in PS or DPP and then post online so using eithe flickr or picassa is a separate step regardless. Flickr makes it easier to share, has a longer history of quality hosting, and there is the social media part that some use (I don't). I would also urge you to try shooting some in raw, there are lots of benefits once you learn the process.

A lot of folks use flickr for the interaction over there. But Picasa organizes far better IMO if you just want to share albums to people.

The one downside is picasa will likely die in favor of google+. I actually like g+, but I can see why folks do not want that.

Shooting raw/jpeg has nothing to do with where folks share though. Most photos online are JPEG. RAW is for your post processing needs.
