I don't know about that, I used several 16GB cards in mine. The body was designed in 2006 and released in 2007 so it may be they only listed what was available at the time.

Not in my experience. One day I filled up two Sandisk Extreme III 16GB cards on my D700.

Tha is really good to know, considering the investment on these cards! I could have went the use smaller space in case they get lost route, but, well! :o Heck I would have to shoot like a maniac to fill these up, of course sometime I kinda do!

Nearby? I I go some place "nearby" I get to look at some ugly industrial buildings or junkyards. Wish I was there!

those sound like opportunities to shoot what others in small cities don't normally see! Are those junkyards, and industrial buildings decaying? Maybe you could show us what it looks like when cities flourish, or when they do not? I try to shoot stuff in my area, but things are so rough lately, the crime has me worried, especially when I usually have my children in tow, plus , I can't pack my arms, until I qualify for my CCW, which is pretty nil in my area!!

I picked up a cheap D200 today to put in my copystand which is what was on it four years ago when I came over to Canon. It's going to be nice to have the WB preset function back. Also picked up a 17-55 cheap so I have a decent zoom lens for the crop body.

I know this forum is all about digital, but have any of you used the F5? For some reason I've been feeling a film itch lately, and think that an F100 or F5 would be the perfect way to scratch it. Have any of you used either of those before?

Do you guys use Capture NX to process your NEF files, then send them to Lightroom? Any need for Capture NX?

Capture NX is slow and clunky (IMO). I can't thnk of a good reason to use it.

The only Nikon software I use is File Transfer, and that only to set the time on my cameras. I use Bridge/ACR to process my raw files.
