Timelapse? Why not!

Very cool. Question: I've always wondered how PP worked on time lapse stuff. Do you just process them all the same in a batch or something? Because I can see it messing up the "action" if you didn't.

In other news...Couple of shots from Easter.

Niece...Counting her haul:

And my son...Not quite getting the whole "hunt" part of "Easter Egg Hunt" :D

Greetings and welcome - when shooting directly (or - even indirectly) at the sun - you run a real risk of overheating/damaging your internals of the body - its focused sun-rays going through a lens is akin to a magnifying glass... your Canon Manual states not to do it a few times...

that being said... we have all done it ;) ... but when you do - try to do it when the sun is quite low at sunrise or sunset. Even still - don't point it too long and use your Live view making use of your tilty-swively screen

Secondly - shrink down your aperture - the pic below is at f/3.5 which lets in too much light - so no need for using your 1/4000th shutter.

Shrinking down your shutter will also give you the 'star-burst' effect you desired. Start at f/8 to f/11. I don't go much beyond that because you can have 'too much' star-burst... but have fun and experiment... ;)

nice attempts and welcome to Club 60D ~

Would anyone mind linking some good PP tutorials? Mainly things that use Lightroom if at all possible? I'm looking to expand my PP creativeness, become a bit more well rounded with it, and it seems like users in here know what they're doing.
