Has anyone else had their 60D's shutter fail on them?

Not me, but I have a friend who has 116K shutter clicks on his and he has no complaints...

How do you go about procuring the information on shutter actuations?

you better buy a point and shoot. if you wanna learn, you can learn. Now if you think it's heavy for you, it's a different story. buy a point and shoot.

Assuming you're on a PC:
1. Open Internet Explorer (or Firefox, with IE Tab 2 installed).
2. Go to eoscount.com, allow it to install it's plugin.
3. Get Shutter Count!

Mine was in the process of failing and sent it in to Canon during warranty. For whatever reason - they gave me a new one...

iMovie automatically make some movements on the stills just like a slideshow. i don't know if you can turn that off though. it's gonna make your pics not align.

If someone found the 60D too heavy (even a Rebel) - it still means they are willing to spend that kind of money so I would suggest this person get 'the best' point & shoots like a G1 X, s100, or the best Nikon or Panasonic

interesting. so even if it's shot using a tripod, iMovie will shuffle the image a bit?

What is everyone here using for HDR? Program, version? Saw photomatix had a basic version for $39 or the pro for $99. Not sure I'll be doing a whole lot of batch processing and such that I'd need the full version. Or does PSE do HDR and star trails? I'm just wanting to play with these a little and don't want to put a bunch of cash into it just yet. I would like to keep all my stuff compatible so if PSE will do those types of things I'd rather stick with that. Anyhow, any info will help.

I just googled "Photoshop Elements 10 and HDR" and videos abound, did not peek at any.. various ones for PSE 8... so better options may be available for ver. 9 and 10

My dog found the dirty laundry to keep warm in. Didn't even see her at first, then she poked her head up and decided to pull the camera out.
