Been wanting this lens for an eternity and finally got one off eBay! I've kept a look out for a while and noticed several new / like new lenses always have a white worn look to the black zoom rubber. Is this normal? Wouldn't expect to have to take to a L lens with Turtle or some other car dashboard cleaner ;)

Fired off some test shots quickly when I got home yesterday and am glad I got the IS version over the non. Hopefully London's weather holds out tomorrow and I'll shoot some ducks around the canal.

Great photos here everyone, can't wait to contribute!

Wish I had more time for this photography thing....

Managed to find some time in my lunch break to try this bazooka out. Chasing birds on an overcast day with F4 and IS is tough work. Managed to get some decent shots but could've bumped the ISO up more to improve the shutter speed.

Loving what I see so far. SOOC jpeg resized and 100% crop

It's an old favorite for me, now.

Mustang

and Three old veterans of WW2...

P-51, C-47, and (I think) Spitfire? Anyway, I like them.

Thanks Rick...yes, you are correct...its a Spitfire. (Mk 9 I think, though possibly has bits of other marks...a lot of them do these days!)

I love this lens with my 60D. My daughter really loves her truck. She took more photos next to it than next to her date lol.

Since I got my 5DII, my 70-200 has been seeing much more use lately. The focal length is much more useable with a FF camera. I bring it to places where I'm not sure of the situation (mainly events).

I shot a parade last weekend that featured people dressed in traditional battle armor.
Pics will soon follow!
