I just installed the software but It looks like it's cutting off the bottom portions of the windows. Anyone else experience this?

Well, after speaking with Rich, he told me it could do with my current DPI settings: (I did have custom settings setup because my eyes are shot.) I switch everything back to custom and it seems to of fixed the issue

I bought it today and I'm trying to use it, but it keeps giving me an errory saying

The camera is not currently setup to use the CENTRE focus point - please correct this

I CERTAINLY have the center focus point selected, but it keeps giving me this error. Anyone else experience this? I've emailed the developer, and waiting for a response.

Considering getting so I can accurately MA my lenses on my 7D. Did the software make a big difference in micro-adjusting your lenses?

In didn't make much of a difference at all in the results of the MA, it gave the same results as my manual testing. Where it did make a huge difference was in how easy it was. Manually I'd really only done the one lens (300 f2.8, plus 1.4x and 2x TCs) because it just took so long. Using FoCal I did every lens I own and it was almost fun.

I downloaded the plus version a few days ago. So far I'm really happy with the results. I always thought my 135L was pretty spot on and sharp. Once I gave it the -5 that focal said its way better and I realized how off it really was. Great software !

I'm interested in this software but have a mac.

Silly question, you have to adjust the camera yourself once the software tells you what is best?

If you have a Mac, you will either have to wait for the Mac release or use vm such as parallels 7 and install a windows version that is compatible. As far as adjustments, if your camera is supported for full auto adjust which is availble in the focal pro version, it will adjust automatically. If you have a camera not yet officially supported like the 5d mk3, you'll have to adjust the settings manually, following the pop up prompts

Hi,

I currently only own zoom lens (70-200 & 24-105).

Would FoCal be of any value to these zoom lens?

Thanks

if your zooms are not focusing properly then Foca maybe able to if you have a camera body that can make adjustments. looks like you have a 5dmk3, so you should have an option to Adjust the Wide and Telephoto ends.. if you have any other camera that only has one adjustment, its usually done on telephoto end.

I'm leaning towards the Pro. Looks like they are offering a discount through the end of the month. Thanks again.

Good choice. I have Pro as well!

I just purchased FoCal Plus, and am using it with my 5D3. Very awesome software, well worth the purchase price I paid. 3 of my 4 lenses were off a bit from what I had dialed in previously, and the few test shots I have taken so far have shown a marked increase in sharpness and accuracy.

This is icing on the cake with the 5D3 AF.

MatthewK Focal Plus that u purchased is not full function as yet? *from what i read on the actual website, manual adjustment? I am very keen but was holdup for the update, first they said in mid april, now MAY waitting for SDK from canon.

Was it easy to use? Manual adjustment from what i read, is just enter the dail in the camera Menu is that right?
