^^Nice.

Used mine today, very soft at 1.4, but sharp from f2 upwards.

I really must get mine calibrated as its pretty useless for what i want to do currently! difficult to send my body off with it though as i've been using it a lot lately :(

Is it worth just sending it off and hoping they have a body to calibrate it to that is close to mine? I know they can still be out unless you send your body too.

I can only speak from my experience. I've had two sigma repair experiences with a 70-200 (non os) and 50. The 70-200 took 3 trips to get dialed in without sending my camera body in (granted it was a 40d so I couldn't use MA.) With the 50 I sent mine in with my 7d and it was right on.

I'm about to spring for one of these. Hows the weather proofing on these babies? I'll be taking it to Thailand during monsoon season so there'll be some rain and I'd like some feedback from the owners on this thread lol.
