I've got my 5d3. Ordered Saturday from Adorama and they said it would ship Monday(which it did) Now it's in my hands. Took me a while to pull the trigger as its a pretty expensive camera for someone who doesn't make any money from photography. I think I'll be happy with the purchase though.

But hey, they say it's not the gear right:rolleyes:

Went through the same decision making process a couple weeks ago and made the same decision. Congrats.

As a word of advice, while you are waiting for the battery to charge, go buy another battery.

I spent my last dollar on this camera. I might be evicted from my place just to get this camera so I can't afford a new battery.

I'll be buying another one later today lol

I have been wringing my hands about getting a 5D3.
Maybe I should sell the two T2i's I have and the 4 EF-S lenses I have including the 15-85 and 60mm 2.8 macro.
18-55 and 55-250 and I would be more than halfway there.
I can do this.
Gotta keep the 5d2 though.

Should I go for it?

Yes, you know you want to. Of course you can do this, and you should. 5D3 is a great body.

I knew I could count on you Rick!
My girl will get the 5d2 and have her FF and I get the 3.
Time to visit the sell board.
Something tells me the price won't be coming down anytime soon.
I've got the L lenses for it maybe I just need to do this.
