Well, as I type this message, Adorama is packing my 24-70 for reshipping with a free upgrade of expedited shipping. Thanks to the help of the staff at Adorama who helped me in this claim, and of course Helen, for always being on top of things. Her reputation precedes her.
In regards with the hood and canon box, UPS didnt say anything about it. And I dont know yet what to do with it, unless Adorama/UPS asks for it.
Oh and also, about the initial shipment,.. I dont have a chance to inspect the package because the staff on our front desk receives all package and most of the time they dont even know what are they signing for. I dont have other options because I cant ship to my home address because its gonna have more risk of getting stolen because nobody's home to receive/sign it, thats why I always ship my stuff here at work.
I did what I thought was right, contacted Adorama as soon as I found out the item is missing, took detailed pictures of the box and whats left and email to them. But like someone else's suggestion I should have contacted the carrier right away so they can start the claim ASAP, and skipped the interview part. On a side note though, I did tried to get hold of the UPS guy, but he drove off already.
Anyways, everything is good now, just waiting for my lens to arrive in 2 days
