No real art here, just trying to capture the arrow right after release. Took several tries. Shot at a Celtic Fair.

I'd say the subject is just a tad overexposed. ;)

i mainly take pictures of people indoors with it. i never use my 18-55. i dont like it. so i use my 10-22 @10mm for automotive stuff or just scenery and @22mm for people sitting next to me in the car or across a restaurant table. i dont like it because if i switch from 10mm to 22mm the pictures always get darker especially in low light areas like a restaurant or inside a car after dark.

im planning on going FF in the future but that could take maybe another year. maybe just hold off on the zoom purchase and go for the 24mm f/1.4? like i said i love it at 22mm so why not the 24mm where i can use it wide open!?

I have the 16-35 Mk I, along with the 10-22. The 16-35 is a GREAT lens, especially indoors. At 16mm you may still get some distortion on people at the edge of a frame, but I used it almost exclusively for a family Christmas event a couple years ago with wonderful results. The extra reach of the 2.8 can come in very handy, as well. If you think you would book losing 6mm on the wide end for you outdoor and automotive shots, I'd say go for it, or at least rent one and try it out.

That said, I rarely use the 16-35 these days because there's just too much other weight in my kit to carry something that's already covered by my 10-22 and 24-105. (I originally purchase it thinking I would be going FF within a year or so, but have stayed with a crop after all. I just can't quite bring myself to get rid of it though.)

Especially like the first one Flo.

Simple and clean but an effective capture
