I know virtually nothing about horses but I thought these foals were interesting to photograph when I saw them yesterday whilst out walking. Clearly a small breed but I don't know what type. Anyone know?

The mare (mother) looks like a shetland pony. Possibly just miniature horses, but with all that "shag", I'm guessing a shetland.

Jessica.. VERY nice images. :)
Have Faith .. really cool to see some speedracking!
2slo - looks like shetland ponies to me.

... which brings me to reiterating what I often remind my friends = Get good photos of the animals you love because life can quickly change and you might miss your chance. Your opportunity is lost when they're gone (always too soon). I'm so glad I shot portraits of my mares a few years back. ..
RIP sweet Miss Missy

She's cute, and I love Arabs but, they are all out of focus. I would not use those photos for marketing.
