Road trip!! :D

Yes, I need to come see you and Martin! WestJet resumes service to Windsor in the next week or so, it'd probably be cheaper than driving!

Whatever. You obviously do not enjoy driving.

Your car must really suck the gas! My OLD truck would go further than 250kms on $30 of gas.

And yes, I do all my own work. $1 is realistic. An oil change would cost me about $10 for the filter and oil.

Let's say $4.5 per gallon and 25 miles per gallon.

($30/$4.5)x25 = 166 miles is 267km.

Your truck does better than 25mpg? Pretty rare for a truck. And it is not that I dislike driving per se, it is just I value my time. To drive that distance would take multiple hours.

Why fly to Windsor? Toronto would be better, or even to Barrie.

$1 per litre when I buy it in Michigan. $30 = 30 litres.

12 litres per 100 kms. 30 litres = 250 kms.

250 kms = less than 2 hours of driving

And that's with today's prices. A year ago gas was cheaper and I was driving a truck that had poorer fuel mileage.

We all need to start driving motorcycles. At least until the Karma Fiskers drop in price about 50-fold

Ok, so they don't fly to Barrie, but they fly to Toronto. That's 3-4 hours closer to Martin than Windsor is.
