I really do like this shot. Lots of potential! Oh and the Porsche too lol. Nothing beats a classic imo.

Because I suck at it lol.

That civic was my 2nd attempt at it, and from around 50 shots taken, only 2 turned out well :/

That's ok. Just get out and practice. That's how I learnt.

The car is sharp, and the background is blurry. That's a successful roller right there imo.

Set your shutter speed to 1/50 of a second, let the camera do the rest

What other settings should I go for? AF wise, etc. I just found it very tricky.

Put the camera in Tv mode. This will allow you to manually set the shutter speed, but the camera will choose the aperture for you. As far as AF, I would let the camera decide that as well, but it all depends on the conditions. Trial and error is the best way to mess around with it. I might even go a little faster on the shutter, like 1/80th or even 1/100th. It also depends on how fast you're going. Usually you double the speed the cars are traveling, and use that as your shutter speed. So if the cars are going 50mph, shoot at 1/100th, or around there, and it should come out pretty close to perfect every time.

I had asked one of my flickr contacts if I could edit on of their rollers for two reasons:

One, I f*cking love Lambos.

Two, I haven't shot a Murcielago yet. Hopefully this summer I will!

Enjoy!
