That's an awesome shot Nate! :)

My Uncle lives up in Napa, and I'm always hoping to sneak another trip up so I can stop in San Fran for a day or two and do some shooting.

I was there in November, but it was raining the day I had slated for shooting.... kind of a bummer. :( Such a cool place to wander around. It would be awesome to get some fog over the bridge.... I keep lookng at other people's photos and it's so flipping cool.. (we don't get fog here, ever).

Another thing top of my list is Bodega area... some nice ocean views and cliffs to shoot there...

Still got my number?

I'm heading over to the Academy of Science again since I'm a member. I'll probably also visit the headlands, maybe hike up the SCA trail for sunset.

I was there yesterday (sunday). Spent the whole day there since it was my first time and took a bunch of pictures. I wanted to go around taking pictures of SF but it was way too foggy the entire day. Had fun though! The academy was great!

Hey I was in SF yesterday too! Only I was covering the Cherry Blossom Parade for my newspaper... The fog was okay in the morning, I got some great shots in Sausalito, but it got worst as the day progressed, then became perfect right after sunset. (which I missed ) Yeah the Academy is just a spectacular place. You can't just spend one day there. There's so much to take in and experience.

I'd love to see some of your shots from Saualito... are you sharing them here?

Sure! :D

The fog was really nice on this side of the Headlands, but up at Hawk Hill the fog was too thick to capture a nice shot of the sunrise :( After my little shoot my dad and I went to a really great cafe called Poggio on the same road. They have some really delicious Italian breakfast Toastis! :)

I love how the fog rolls down the hillside to camera right.... feel welcome to share whenever.. :)
It's always fun to see. :) Did you shoot the fog swallowing up the bridge since you were up on Hawk Hill? that's a cool scene when you can find it..

this guy has some amazing shots .... http://www.flickr.com …/761465486/in/set-440860/ (external link)

That's just Hawk Hill at the right time with the right conditions. It does look like it might have been taken a little lower since the fog is at the perfect height but it's definitely from Hawk Hill.

Here's a comparison shot for ya.
