Watch out, people will say of course your camera is great since you paid 3500 for it. Lol

I'm just gonna keep eating the e-popcorn. :)

How is he a troll when he posted a "5DMKIII trumps D800 in high iso" thread?

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1161387

He seems to be showcasing both sides.

True but some of us are referring to the person who wrote article and not the OP.

I think this thread is suitable considering he only posted the article title. No big deal.

Here is where the fun begins. Everyone who bought a 5DIII will cry troll. I say rubbish. read the article and make your own judgements.

The thing I find most interesting is the sensor information. For studio work I see no reason not to own a 5D. 1,2, or 3. But honestly, from the looks of it, the D800 for commissioned in studio work is a no brainer,

Nikon D700, 28-70 f2.8 Nikkor, 17-35mm Nikkor, 50mm 1.8 Nikkor, 28mm f2.8 Nikkor, Panasonic G3, Panasonic 14-45mm Lumix, Panasonic LX3, Canonet, 4 speedlites, some remotes some umbrellas, some stands, some cables and a few bags.
My website with old terrible low res pictures that I'll update at some point. (external link)

Wow, some blog site creates a fancy/controversial title about the DxO results to get traffic, and then he copies the article on a Canon site?

So now what? Should we all go into panic mode and jump ship? Lol give me a break.

Why is it that everyone who owns the 5D III loves it and yet those who don't say we are justifying our purchase?

So what is new?

The 5D3 is impressive if you are upgrading from the 5DC, 7D xxD or the rebel line. But if you upgrade from the 5D2, you are in for an underwhelming experience. (apart from the improved AF, and superduper high ISO of course.)

Try harder next time Canon, especially in the sensor department.

I have a 7D and i am underwhelmed by it. In my case the better decision is to keep the 7D and buy the 5DmkII at the bargain bin prices they are now. Again that is my personal opinion.

I know how important DR is and would have been nice if canon improved on that but to some (like me) the "small" improvements on the mkiii is worth the price tag. To each their own I guess. :)

Exactly. I bet you if the Canon 5dmkIII was 2999 we wouldnt hear so much outcry ;)

Just read the EOS mag article on the 5DIII. Yep, it is rubbish. Glad mine is on order. It will fit in with the rest of my rubbish such as 5DII, and 7D. I guess I should order the wife a matching piece of rubbish.

Yup but if you look at his threads started history he does have something in the positive light which cant be discounted but with all arrangement's we can pick and choose what we want to showcase :D
