What do you think? I see it's missing a battery door and an eyecup, but I searched them on eBay and are readily available. I have plenty of BP-511a's. So I figured what the heck I might luck out. Done it before on two BG-E2Ns for 50 bucks on which only the battery retainer tabs were broken...fixed for 10 bucks, flipped em for 80 each!!

If the only issue with the 20D is a missing battery cover, just throw a grip on it and call it a day. Eye cups are like $5-$10.

Uh, it says both the camera and lens are "non-working".

Up for auction is a non-working Canon EOS 20D camera body. This body comes with a non-working Canon EF-S 18-55 f3.5-5.6 IS lens.

I don't think that the battery door and eye cup are the only issues

It's amazing what people will pay for broken camera gear.

Could be where he is getting the title rolling the dice. Hell, he could buy a battery door for 10$ and have himself a fine 20D for 88$ with kit lens!

I have to agree with others - I don't think the battery door is the only problem. Otherwise it wouldn't have been sold as "for parts". I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem likely that the camera works.

He will have a broken 20D with a broken kit lens with a fancy new battery door. Read the auction description.

The two BG-E2n grips i bought from Henrys out of Canada were described the same way. They worked perfectly just replaced the battery retention tabs...well see. It was at 75 when i bid and won so worse comes to worse i'll put it back on and re coop some loss....

it is clearly stated in the ad that both lens and camera don't work (even though they are in good cosmetic conditions...).

If it wasn't KEH I think you'd have a chance, but there's no way they're going to risk selling a camera that might work if the battery door was the only issue.
