The-Digital-Picture.com has finished his review on the 5D Mark III, and it is loooooong:

http://the-digital-picture.com …I-DSLR-Camera-Review.aspx (external link)

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III just seems right for nearly all uses - from the most serious professional needs down to the most-important family memories captures. The 5D III has become my primary DSLR - at least until the 1D X appears. This camera is a lot of fun to work with.

And thank you, Jim, for starting this thread...I've already picked up some useful tips. It's a fabulous camera but needs a little time to get the best out of it, and some of these reviewers are very clued up.

Growing old disgracefully!

Techradar's web page formatting is a bit of a problem - The captions were overwritten on top of the legend so that it's hard to tell which camera is represented by which colored line. I took the liberty of copying the images, then saving them on PBase so that they can be read. Here they are:

First, JPG S/N ratio:

IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/photosbytom/image/142792858.jpg

RAW S/N (Tiff used):
IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/photosbytom/image/142792859.jpg

JPG Dynamic range (in stops):
IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/photosbytom/image/142792860.jpg

RAW Dynamic Range (in stops, using Tiff):

Refer to Jim's link above for the text of the test report.
