Thanks... My first try did come out overdone so I was hoping this one looked a little more natural but still popped. After staring at my screen for 2 hours (pp work is all pretty new to me), I felt like I lost all perspective on natural vs overdone, so its good to here some feedback from fresh eyes.

Love it. KUDOS to you.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

I cringed when I opened up the thread. I was pleasantly surprised to see a well-done HDR. :)

I think it's lovely, but is there a slight halo-ing on the rim on the far side of the canyon?

The composition is really nice, and it has a stormy feel to it. My preference is to have HDR at a level where the viewer can't really tell it's an HDR, but I would be tempted to tweek the contrast and saturation levels up a bit to see how far you could take it without making it scream that it was an HDR.

It certainly doesn't look like a first attempt, it's looks like you got the balance spot on!!
