Found this little guy floating in my pool skimmer this am. He's about 6 inches from wing tip to wing tip. Any bat ID experts out there?

As a parent and more recently a grandparent, it still too ugly

Not 100% positive but it appears to be a Mexican Freetailed Bat. Very common here in Texas.

Thanks Mak, I wondered about that but the light brown color threw me off. I guess some are lighter than others like any other species.
