I ordered a 2nd body from B&H on April 18 and haven't heard a word about it since. I wonder when the major retailers will get stock again???

B&H is great. But the dealer I bought from eBay is fine, I bought expensive stuff from them before. But it's return policy is not as good as Amazon, B&H or Adorama.

Your shallow depth of field, dark/black background, lighting, composition and the perspective of this image as well as the softness makes this a beautiful image.

Sometimes we critique ourselves to oblivion....;)

Thank you Pierre, maybe your right and we need to be more lenient on ourselves :D

It's the third or fourth time I see your photo. It is the first time I noticed the pot!

It is a gorgeous, captivating photo. It takes a while just to get your bearings to understand what you are looking at (yes you know it is a flower from the beginning, but it takes a while to note which way the stamens are pointing, what is the darker petal in the front and what the darker object in the back). I love the dark background bringing up the lit flower.

It is a great photo!

Thanks very much Gerry

Still having a lot of problems with exposure on this camera. I love the camera but I am really struggling with the exposure on it. I find it frequently underexposes considerably, but other times it nails it. I am used to +1/3rd and +2/3rds with the 7D and other Canon cameras. But I am frequently shooting +1 & and even +2 and still getting underexposed shots. Especially in harsh lighting.

I am constantly changing exposure erratically.

This was shot +1 2/3rd's and still about a half stop underexposed. Shot in evaluative metering.

I checked the AF points in DPP to confirm they are all where you would expect them to be.

Saxi I found the exposure quite tricky at first.

First spot EV only works in the centre of the frame which is likely some of the background there not the hand.

Second in Evaluative it weighs areas under focus points that are in focus heavier than everything else .

Third try centre weighted I find this to be the best general metering mode for the 7D.

Use a IE plug-in for Firefox and it should work just fine.

I'm having the same issues with saxi, really irritating! Idk if it's a user error kind of thing going on but i never had that much of an underexpose shot with the 5D2.

This is +1 EV, all focus points contained within him and his shirt. Still a good 1/3rd - 1/2 stop underexposed.

The other picture the points were all on his hands I used DPP and I can see the red boxes (4-5 I forget how many) completely in his hands and one on his shirt.

Oh and this had 580EX II fill flash as well, would been even worse.

It's killing me, I'm all over the place with exposure. I shot a bunch +2EV today and still had underexposed images. But it would be one thing if I knew what to expect, when one shot is 1EV underexposed and another is 3EV underexposed. I can't keep up and I can't even remotely guess what it is going to do. It is really like playing craps.
