Again, what qualifies you as the expert in determining how others should conduct their business?

Did I say I was an expert?

I don't believe I did.

But, hey, I guess you're just easily impressed...

I don't recall any of the posters soliciting your input on the proper manner of running their businesses. Save the name calling and petty insults for elsewhere.

Woolburr, meet the internet.

It's the nature of the internet. If someone posts something, it stands to reason that there will be responses to it. There will be anecdotes shared. There will be opinions expressed. There's no guarantee that you're going to agree with those opinions. The fact that you disagree with them in no way dictates that they should not be expressed.

If you're that fragile, perhaps the internet's just not for you...

Neither a troll nor 15.

You don't like me.

I get it.

I just don't care...

Like you? Not sure what that has to do with anything. This isn't facebook or a popularity contest.

All this has to do with is your incessant need to belittle anyone that doesn't bow to your convoluted manner of thinking. Implying that people are fools or cowards because they don't subscribe to your accepted standard does little to disprove the reputation you are rapidly gaining.

Are you referring to where I called you a 15 year old troll?

Oh, wait, that wasn't me.

Hypocrite much?

Well, right now, he doesn't have to explain anything. He has clients paying those prices; clients the first guy is acquainted with. He sees them getting the results they want, so he comes back to the OP to get some work done.

The OP had hiS feelings hurt, though, so he makes up some BS story about being booked or "busy" instead of just telling the guy "I don't want to work for you".

A smart businessman would try to work a client into a schedule. But, because the guy "never reversed" what he said, the OP's feathers are all ruffled...

feelings not hurt... not one bit... he had his opinion, and he was rather smug about it. He seemed to know all about my business, probably even more than I did...
why would I want to work with someone like that? It would be one thing if he realized his mistake - but that's not the case.

All I see is if I work for him, he'll just keep on being the type of client I don't want to work for/with - someone that thinks is a know-it-all and has to throw his unwanted 2 cents in. Working for/with him will give me less time for the other customers that have proven to be a lot more respectful.

Is that reason enough?

This guy has told you that you have no future in the business.

You've done plenty of work for people he knows.

He comes back and tries to hire you.

He's realized his mistake. He just hasn't verbalized it...

Actually, it would make a lot more sense to discuss the actual scenario instead of some fairy tale.

The guy wants to hire you.

You don't want to work for him.

Why are you afraid to tell him the reason you don't want to work for him?

or he's too much of an @ss to realize it or own up to it - again, someone I don't need on my schedule or to explain myself to

I don't feel I owe him this much
first impression and all...
everything else tells me he'll be just as arrogant in the future

he also made it clear that he has someone just as good as I am for a lot less money - you could say I don't want to take someone else's job away from them...

I learned a long time ago some are worth much more to just let go.

lol...
why don't I stretch out on your couch, and I can tell you about how my father and I didn't have any type of relationship growing up... and maybe if I open up and let it all out, I'll be more than willing to work with jerks! I guess money from an @ss spends the same...
