Color or non Color?

I struggle sometimes as to what is a better image. Take this image for example.

There are parts I like about the color where it seems I strongly prefer the non color. It's not official B&W but whats called "toner" seems like a blend of Sepia with it.

Thanks for all the responses. I like the color one especially for the blue eyes like some have mentioned. I do love the tone of the B&W/sepia though too. I give the client both so its no big deal but for my portfolio I was wondering which I should use.

they're both great. Can't see why you can't use both.

I like the B/W
I am assuming he is wearing a white shirt but the color version has a bluish tint.
There is also a greenish outline separating the shirt from the background.
Do some cloning on the background to remove his left "ear".

This is a great photo but the brightness and tone of the green background takes away from the lad.
I would crop it more to eliminate some of the top area (and some to the left to keep the ratio) and also tone down the saturation of just the green area. You could also add a slight vignette to neutralize the background a bit more.
