Just got my 2nd one from B&H, at 1.4 it's really blurry. Doesn't get pretty sharp till 2.8, this really annoys me.

What to do?

60D + sigma 17-50 2.8 + canon 50 1.8 + a big wish list on my BH account:)

Return it, get ANOTHER one, or send it in with your camera to Sigma or to C.R.I.S. and have them calibrate it to your 60d. You have another option of living with it, but then it's like buying the world's fastest car and only using it as a daily driver...

Just messing around. Still working with getting a new camera body and LR4 figured out. Double post form the 5D3 thread...sorry if you've seen it.

Does anyone else's lens make a rattling sound when trying to autofocus? Just want to make sure this is a normal thing.

I wouldn't say "rattling". It does make noise when it is when making micro focus adjustments, if this makes sense.

Thanks for the reply, Cory. Sort of like a clicking sound? It's only when it is making micro adjustments. It's pretty much silent when it moves from .45 to infinity, and it is very smooth on manual focus.

Did some work for my friend that runs Thriftstorefresh.com (external link).
It's an online thrift store that offers a variety of hard to find items at a fraction of the cost of department stores. Feedback is welcomed, thanks!

What to do?

If you have a local camera store go there and see if you can try one to see if there is a difference. It sucks that you can't MA on that camera body so if it's the body you'll need to send everything in to Sigma for an adjustment. I own three Sigma lenses and none of them have needed adjusting.
