20% coupons?

you mean buying a body and lens together, thus qualifying for the 20% off ?

With the rebate on new ill pay the extra 100 for a 50l
Canon charges tax, negating a large savings

I had a refurb 70-200F4, looked and functioned like new. Deadly sharp lens, I miss it.

- Exactly what i was thinking, some of those desirable lenses are not a whole lot cheaper than a Brand Spanking new ones.

- I'm now without a body and a lens. I'm open to any and all options. What made you consider D800? and what lens are you planing on gettin?

I added the 70-200 f4l IS to the cart but backed out because with the canon rebates, it's not much more for new and I have a gift card to a local store so that might be something for me to consider.
Then I keep thinking...sigma 70-200.

bought 60mm Macro Refurbished. looked and functioned like new. I would not be able to distinguish.

These refurbs would be great for folks that are also buying a body.

Yep!

I ordered a 17-40mm f4 L USM earlier today to go with a 7D body.

If they do the 20% deal, I might look at a 50 or other primes as well.

I don't know, $1712 after tax (7%) for a 70-200 f/2.8 IS II is a pretty sweet deal.
