My in-laws have a 125lb. lab named Buster. This is as close as I'm willing to get to him.

Honestly it is a pretty horrible story, there is a horse pasture near our house and I take them on rides by the land for them to see the horses and but this time as we were leaving (even though the window was rolled over halfway up) Bear either fell or jump out of the backseat and got run over. It was terrible. I am glad that he didn't have any pain, but am extremely sad to see him go. I thought I had many more years with him.

RIP bear. Losing a pet is painful and the shock of an accident really compounds things. May his spirit live in all the other dogs in your life.

It is hard to lose a pet, after our Bear, passed 4 years ago, I decided no more dogs, then CFPackerfan posted Maggie, one of H.A.R.T. of Utah's first rescues, I fell in love with her, but couldn't go out and get her, thankfully, T.D. could.

The work CFPackerfan puts into rescuing dogs prompted me to look into our own local rescue and there was Baxter front and center. It was my birthday week, and as they say the rest is history.

I hope all of your hearts are warmed again by furry friend.
