Ha, I am on my way to go get mine. I found the very last one in Texas, but it is in Austin, so I am out the door to go get it now. Wish me luck!

Stop slamin' the door on the way out Todd!! I hope you don't get there only to find out that last camera was sold 15 minutes before you got there.

Looking forward to seeing your photos shot with your new camera and your thoughts about it too.

Your gonna love it Todd! I've only had it for a few hours and I'm in love!

Spent most of the time micro-adjusting my 50L. I've never done it before but I think I got it spot on.

Here's a test shot of my kitty kat :D ; 9/10 of taken shots were spot on in terms of focusing at @f/1.2 :D

I just received my 5DIII today. This is also my first full frame camera. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the photos compared to my 7D not to mention all of the FF benefits I've read about. I can't wait to try it out more :)

Because having it done in camera and doing it automatically is easier :p

I guess I can always do your method/do it manually, it just takes a bit longer in terms of workflow *shrugs*

Strictly speaking, my method does a lot more for you. Your idea of having 1000 photos per folder actually seems pretty pointless to me. I don't see what it is intended to gain for you.

Besides, by your own admission your problem is that all your photos are in one folder on your PC. That is not the cameras fault, that is YOUR doing. YOU put the photos in one folder, so if you don't like that just don't do it. It is quite trivial to avoid, pull the entire folder down from the camera, rename the folder, import to LR, problem solved. That adds like 10 seconds to the work flow time per download. Big whoop.

Great shot Elrey, but what makes it stand out for me is that despite the stage lights you've been able to eliminate flare and create real blacks. While flare can be effective, it's wonderful to see such a clean shot from difficult conditions.

Growing old disgracefully!
