I am looking for a new bag since I upgraded to a 500 from my 100-400. I really like the Gura Gear Kiboko, but at this time it is quite expensive. All I need the bag to fit is the 500mm on my 7D, the 100-400, and my 17-40.

Thanks

I have the kinesis long lens bag and also bought the backpack straps for it. It offers good protection and meets airline carryon requirements. I can put the lens and camera with a 1.4
tc in there with no problems

Is there a bag that is smaller and I could use just to carry the 500 body and a few small other things as like a day bag?

I use a Kiboko 30L for travel and transport. I can 500mm attached to a body with and without a 1.4x TC (hood reversed). In the field, I use a Lowepro Lens Trekker 600AW. This allows for quick access with the hood extended.
