Met up with fellow POTN Kirish and covered this morning event down Huntington Beach, CA. These are top local Pro-Am surfers competing for the American Pro Surfing Series. Weather condition was sunny, windy and very hazy.

Thank you

Can anyone help me? I have downloaded the latest (for a 1D2) drivers etc from the Canon USA website and using a firewire connection have got my computer to recognise the camera but it won't let me access the camera's settings. I have spent far too long trying to sort this problem and I am going on an important shoot this weekend and would like to have my camera set up properly.

Could someone set up the above personal functions and email them to me so that I can load them onto my camera via SD card.

Thanks

I can try it when I get home this evening. Never saved the settings to a card before, but I'll give it a shot. I'll send you a pm when I have a chance tonight.

Ok, I changed the settings you wanted and saved them. Not sure if it worked, but I have the file if you want it.

Not really the intention of the 1D2N, but it's still good for landscapes! This was with a 17-40L

Thanks for your email. I can confirm that 1D2N settings do not work on a 1D2 :(

Is there any 1D2 owner who can set up the above (previous post) personal functions and email them to me so that I can load them onto my camera via SD card.

Thanks

I don't get it. You know the settings you want. Why don't you just set them instead of asking someone else to set them, save them, send them and then set his/her own camera back?

The reason is that I can't get Canon utilities to communicate with my camera. I am using fire wire and installed (then uninstalled/reinstalled) the appropriate drivers from Canon but still no luck. I have wasted hours and was hoping for some help and a short cut.

The custom functions aren't the problem, it's the personal functions that can't be set.
