Nice shots. I really like #2 and #3 except for the upper left corner on #3. Love those steak knives.

thanks... FYI the knives in 3 and 4 are fancy letter openers/craft knives. The makers call them paper knives (well, in japanese, but you get the point).

With 1 and 2 is is the composition thats not to your liking or something else?

I like all the shots your lighting is great and your tack sharp. #2 and #3 were just my favorites #1 I thought had some problems.

# 2 I like everything about it. The wood grain of the handle and the table top with the dark lettering on the steel blade all flow for me. Love it.

#1 I think the knot in the wood draws my eye from the knife. And the bull that's engraved is the same color as the wood back ground. I think the bull and the color of the blades edge would pop out in a good way on a darker wood. (IMHO)

That's too bad about those knives being letter openers. I think they would make a great set of steak knives.

yeah... that makes sense

also, just because something is a paper knife doesnt mean it isnt sharp as hell ;)

Great shots. I really like #10. Light to dark transition between the blade and handle and having the blade in focus and the handle soft. Fantastic.
