I like the first colored one. The second looks desaturated, especially when you can compare it to the one above it, and the third is good, but also, looks like it could use just a little more color. Still a really good collection.

It's never gonna be a perfect picture to everyone...but I'm okay with that.

I can see why you went the B&W route, there wasn't a whole lot of color to begin with. :)

I must confess to seeing his reality show... I'll never get that portion of my life back. :p

Very well done!

First Time? I think you have a pretty bright future ahead of you provided you don't undervalue yourself.

Resist the urge to just give 'em away!

love your website, your pics are just sick

These are great. Do you mind if I ask what you are using for noise reduction?

they went from the camera to lightroom 4 to flickr. lightroom 4's noise reduction seems to have dramatically improved. i was hesitant to upgrade but im glad i did.

it wasnt anything secret :P here are my camera settings from that night

AV mode
4.0 aperture
iso 3200
auto whitebalance
spot metering

i would wait til the spotlight was on him so that i could burst at 1/160 or faster and shoot like 5 or 6 images per burst. i used a monopod on some of them and most were just handheld. lightroom 4 helped a lot.

Excellent work!

it was a very small venue, only a few hundred people so the tickets were expensive. i got in for free with free roaming access including back by the buses. free food drink and concert with access to the higher ticket price areas. was my first job so i didnt really have any leverage for pay :P he has said i will be invited to all of his future conceerts. ihe had ted nugent last year and i shot some from outside the bar since my camera wasnt allowed into the bar per ted nugents rules. here ill post a couple of the, those were with much lesser equipment but it was when i got the bug for shooting concerts :P

as you can see, the better camera, lens and access made a huge difference, as well as having a better understanding of the camera settings and what they do.
