Actually... he'll be 9 in just a few weeks and he NEVER lets me take natural pictures of him; he's usually
hamming it up way too much. I played around with it a little in Photoshop CS5 but I also just got that and have
NO idea what I'm doing. Critiques are always welcomed- I'm new and still have no idea when I'm doing something
right and when I'm doing something wrong- so I actually appreciate critiques and tips a lot, thanks!

Loving my new camera! I have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing with it,
but giving "hobbyist p
hotographers" a bad name has been fun!

Looks good, Sue! He looks quite similar to my 9 year old red-headed grandson :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Thanks Rick and Maureen.... it's funny how a lot of redheads look very similar- in features etc other than just the hair.

Sometimes, but red hair is a recessive trait usually. Sometimes nature slips up and red head takes priority...Really cool to read about in my Bio text. I always love shots like this where the kids teeth are still spreading out and coming and going.

What a great photo. I know how hard boys that age are to photograph and get a natural expression out of them, but you nailed it. What I like about this particular expression is that while he looks sweet and innocent, he also has that glint in his eye that shows an impish, "look out world" quality to it. Like he is plotting his next prank. Really great.
