I just remembered emailing him about one of the lenses he was selling and asked for any previous feedback. Did not hear from him after that.
He is gone now.

But their feedback system allows the buyer/seller to leave a -ve feedback. I was scammed once on FM, paid as PP gift ($1800). Was able to recover fortunately. Can you believe that the seller sent me brick and tape roll and he paid $40 for insured shipping? Btw, he had 14 positive feedback and sold around $7-8000 worth of stuff I used to think that 'brick' is a term used to describe something sent instead of the item but in my case it was literally a brick. I still have that brick and tape roll at my desk ![]() Sorry about that I must have mixed up the boxes I was shipping out. It's on the way trust me. Hahahahahaha. At least you got you money back. Are you telling us the guy who was going to use that brick in a new house has a perfect telephoto instead and spying on neighbors now and it's all your fault? I know more about gear than I know about photography

Apr 30, 2012 18:36 | #49 That's why PayPal fees are worth the 3%...I have done about 40 or so transactions on this forum and all have been perfect. A few times people said PayPal gift and I just added the 3% to cover myself. Nikon D850 and a bunch of stuff, I have learned a lot here when I was shooting Canon, staying to keep learning..."Every time I set up I learn something new".

I did contact paypal, as soon as I felt something was wrong. Paypal says it is waiting till yesterday, for a rresponse from the seller. I am waiting to hear back, hopefully, very soon, from paypal. I will also update my situation, if the OP does not mind. Here's hoping we all get taken care of. Ken Call PP. my case was not closed automatically. They closed yesterday via phone and were able to recover funds. Good luck. Canon 5D Mk III | EF 24-70L II | EF 135L | EF 70-300L | EF 50mm f/1.8 | 580EX II

If I buy something, I'll post in the FS thread that I paid for whichever item. If you guys had posted publicly, there's a chance that only a couple people would have been scammed. gordon
